Distance Traveled

I picked this poem by Erin Hanson because it not only ties into the theme of our class but because I like how she describes the discomfort in leaving a place so familiar. She talks about wandering and discovering places how you can find yourself and learn from the places around. To find yourself sometimes it takes different experiences to help you shape yourself and forget about your past. But no matter the distance traveled you can always return home!

  1. Hannah, this reminds me of this song my mom danced with my brother to at his wedding. It was by Jason Mraz and said something about how “no matter where you go you can always go back home.” I feel like when we’re in these transitional points in our lives (like ours now) it’s easy to be scared and think we’re lost, but we really are okay when we remember home is there. I loved the poem, thanks for sharing
