I am from bookcases
from styrofoam and spray paint
I am from the dollhouse frame
and tree branches
I am from the Birch tree
whose grown along side me
I am from blankets and boxes
from Dorothy and Eileen
I am from Bless You and Save You
and from Keep You From Harm
from Christmas soup
I am from Praise God from whom all blessings flow
I am from Sempeck and Frew
from Mini Mart Pizza and reuben sandwiches
from letter weddings
and from grand pianos
road trips, plane rides, and hotel rooms
I am from those moments of organized chaos
I really liked your poem. Good description, good word choices, and I loved the line “I’m from praise God whom all blessings flow” LOVE THAT LINE!
